Guest sentiment
A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"I ordered the tonkotsu ramen and pork gyoza, and honestly, it was a great experience! The broth was creamy and tasty, though I expected a bit more of that deep pork flavor typical for tonkotsu. Still, it was delicious. The pork slices were the highlight — super tender and flavorful. The gyoza was also really good, especially with the sauce that came with it. The atmosphere was next-level — I seriously felt like I was teleported to Japan. The place is full of cool decorations, figurines, anime, retro Japanese arcade vibes, and they even give free stickers! Overall, 9/10 for food and 10/10 for atmosphere. I’ll definitely be coming back!"
"This restaurant has such an incredible atmosphere, especially if you are a fan of anime and gaming. The decor is thoughtfully done with so many cool references, from Naruto to Studio Ghibli, and even the menu itself is visually stunning with its hand-drawn illustrations. It creates a really fun and cozy environment that makes the whole dining experience feel unique and immersive. The food was definitely the highlight of the visit. I tried the spicy miso ramen and it was absolutely delicious. The broth was rich and had the perfect amount of heat, while the chashu was tender and the toppings, like the marinated egg and corn, were spot on. It is a very satisfying bowl that I would highly recommend to any ramen lover. In addition to the ramen, the dragon rolls were also fantastic. They were beautifully presented on a long platter and tasted incredibly fresh. Overall, it was a great experience with a wonderful vibe and good food. Between the creative theme and the quality of the kitchen, it is a spot I will definitely be returning to. Whether you are there for the aesthetic or just a really good meal, it is well worth a visit."
"Wei Ramen delivered exactly what I want from a ramen stop: careful broths, springy noodles, and sides that actually taste made-to-order. Service was quick and friendly, and the food came out piping hot. What I had (and loved): Gyoza: golden on the bottom with soft, juicy filling. The scallions on top and the soy-garlic dip made them disappear fast. Crispy chicken bites: light batter, super-juicy inside, and a creamy spicy mayo that didn’t overpower. 2 delicious enormous ramen bowls one with chicken and the other one with pork I also had their house-made peach sake—chilled, lightly sweet, and aromatic. It paired especially well with the gyoza and cut through the richness of the ramen. Consistent textures, clean presentation, and honest flavors. If you’re in Cluj-Napoca and craving a bowl that warms you from the first slurp, Wei Ramen is an easy recommendation."
"Such a great vibe, delicious ramens a few sushi rolls options and apetizers (edamame, kimchi, bao, panko shrimps, sushi tacos, gyoza) Ramune drinks and sake are also available. the entire design (everything anime) is absolutely magnificent, and puts you in a great mood immediately japanese(ish) & anime characters clothes/hats are available for fun and pics The only downsides are that it's almost always full, and it's not pet friendly :(("
"Everything was great here, really enjoyed the food and atmosphere of the place, very thematic. The edamame are addictive to eat, they go great with the yuzu sake we had, so delicious. The Karage was very crispy and juicy. Tried the Ying-Yang ramen because we couldn't decide on just one flavour and it was a great choice. The spicy miso was the favorite, very yum. And I loved that 2 part bowl, I want one now :)). The theme is very heavily anime and street ramen, just check the pictures to see if this might be too much for it. You can even dress up here and take pics."
"Wei Ramen is a great place for authentic Japanese food. We had Tonkotsu Ramen, Karaage Ramen, sushi, and gyoza dumplings which were delicious. The Tonkotsu Ramen had a rich, creamy broth and perfectky cooked noodles. Karaage Ramen was crispy, juicy and tasty, full of flavours. The Sushi rolls were fresh made, well-balanced without anything spycy. The Gyoza Dumplings were nicely pan-frieds and full of flavour. Great quality time spent at Wei Ramen with generous portions of food. This is a spot I'd definetely come back to. I highly recommend."
"I ate here several times and liked it every time!. The ramen here is really good. Beyond the fantastic broth and noodles, the staff is friendly and welcoming, adding to the whole dining experience. The location is also a plus. You have the beautiful Botanical Garden nearby where you can walk off that satisfying meal afterwards. The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated in an authentic, Japan-inspired style with cool anime touches that add a fun, cozy atmosphere. A thumbs up from me and I'll definitely come again."
"I looove ramen, so I decided to try it in Cluj also, at Wei Ramen. I tried the Karage Ramen which was good, not exceptional.. I had something really amazing elsewhere. It's a shame, since they started very well, from what I've heard.. I have friends who love it there, but also some that aren't really into their ramen specials. It might be a personal opinion, maybe I have other expectations, I don't know. The service was fast, friendly and the atmosphere quite pleasant. It wasn't very crowded, so all-in-all, we had a good time I don't know how the other dishes on the menu are, since I didn't try them."
